Ratios for fixtures and school trips

Hi

 

I have just moved schools and they have a policy of having to have 2 adults on the minibus for all fixtures. As you can imagine, this is not always possible especially if you are a small department.

Does anyone know if there is a set legislation over this or is it up to the school.

Also for school trips/offsite lessons - what is the ratio needed?

depends on LEA guidance I guess - not like that for us in Shropshire

Hi

It is recommended in our council (Norfolk) if travelling for more than 20 minutes although not compulsory - not yet!

I guess its up to individual councils/boroughs
