Go on then, I'll ask. How did your A Level results turn out?

I'm still digesting mine.... like how do they do worse with each AS re-sit, even when told not to put in for them????

Still, only marginally worse than last year - one single solitary student will have destroyed my nice, neat upward trend!

Hi Stef,

I know what you mean about the re-sit kids!! My results were better than last year. I think OCR have maybe got to grips with their new syllabus. I dont have the problems with poor marking from last year, however i still need to have a good look at the breakdown.

Unbelievably AQA have managed to miss out an entire psych exam and all of the long questions in AS and A2 PE for ONE student.

He had special arrangements to type the longer answers - we sent them all off with the right forms and lo! They have not included them at all!

Thank god for the eAQA service. We could check immediately and start shouting!

PLEASE - anyone else using AQA, use the eAQA service and check that there are as many student answers as there are students entered for your exam!

You can get a logon from your exams officer - it is free to all centres!!!

It isn't just AQA. OCR did the same thing to him in January! So anyone who has a student with special arrangements needs to double check!

Ours were great!!! But it did help that a my colleagues and I took over from a complete numb nuts who ruined last years cohort.

100% Pass rate with 75% A-C. within an FE college. My manager is very happy with the results.

Snap! Congratulations! Feels good doesn't it? We also looked at the ERA data and smirked - we compare really well across the AQA cohort :D

AS results were dire as usual. All of the "I thought we'd play more games" lot came crashing down. But we got a nice little cluster of As - which surprised me! But I usually try hard to ignore AS data - PE is the 4th subject for far too many of them!
